In Japan, Komorebi describes that fleeting moment when sunlight filters through the leaves of the trees, creating a magical interplay of light and shadow.

Inspired by this beautiful concept, the Komorebi Stole captures a sense of calm and connection with nature, transforming it into texture and movement.

Worked from the Komorebi Leaf motif, this stole combines delicate openwork that catches the light with more understated sections, creating a beautiful balance between rhythm and serenity. It is a dynamic project: engaging and entertaining at the beginning, meditative through the middle, and creative towards the end.

TEXTURE & TECHNIQUE

The Komorebi Stole features a special and innovative crochet technique used to create its distinctive interwoven leaf texture. The leaves are worked using short rows and stitches of different heights, working exclusively through the back loop only (BLO).

This technique will help you grow as a crocheter and take your skills to the next level.

THE KIT INCLUDES

• 500 g (5 balls) of Casasol Bamboo M yarn, enough to crochet a stole approximately 57 cm wide × 150 cm long (22.5 × 59 inches).
  The finished stole is not included. You can choose the colour of your kit from the available options. The colour shown in the photographs is Coral Pink.

Composition: 100% Bamboo — an exceptionally soft yarn with beautiful drape.

Weight: M, 4-ply (1 mm)

Recommended crochet hook: 2–3 mm (not included in the kit).

Bamboo is a 100% natural fibre with antibacterial and hypoallergenic properties. It is a fresh, breathable and sustainable natural yarn.

A noble and beautifully soft fibre with a silky feel, it glides smoothly through your hands as you crochet and has a subtle sheen similar to that of mercerised cotton.

Bamboo is a plant-based, non-animal and 100% biodegradable natural fibre.

This yarn is made from 100% bamboo in order to preserve its natural antibacterial properties, which would be lost if blended with other fibres.

The yarn is dyed according to the same standards as cotton and carries the OEKO-TEX® DETOX TO ZERO certification.

Detox Bamboo: bamboo free from toxic or harmful substances throughout the supply chain. The yarn is dyed without the use of carcinogenic or allergenic dyes, making it fully hypoallergenic and certified with the OEKO-TEX® DETOX TO ZERO label.
